Destiny is a highly anticipated role-playing, first-person shooter video game that features a “mythic science-fiction” open world setting. Bungie is developing the game, and Activision is publishing it as part of a decade-long publishing deal. The Beta will begin in early 2014 on the PS3 , PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
There are definitely elements of Halo, especially in weaponry design. We also noticed a little of Portal 2 in previously released trailers too, namely in the probe sent down the tunnels about halfway through this Destiny demo.
Destiny is now available to pre-order for £54.99 on PS4 and Xbox One or £44.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360, though gamers will only get early access to the Destiny Beta if they purchase their pre-order at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart.com worldwide.
Bungie, the studio behind the phenomenally successful Halo franchise, said Destiny Beta Redemption Codes are available while supplies last. The 9-digit entry code for the Beta will be available on the purchase receipt, via email or on a flyer distributed at time of purchase.
Upon pre-ordering Destiny, gamers must visit bungie.net/beta and follow on-screen instructions to secure their spot in the Beta. Bungie has already secured spots for those who pre-ordered before 1 October. Gamers should receive their entry codes via email.
