Take a look at the Orchid reveal trailer for Killer Instinct. Equipped with batons, quick attacks and her fire-cat, Orchid enters the battle ready for all who face her. A livestream event gave a first look at Orchid in action for Killer Instinct on the Xbox One plus confirmed the return of an old favorite.
Orchid’s new, updated look plus her gameplay mechanics was shown off by developer Double Helix during an IGN livestream. While the “flashing” finishing move that is a relic of the 90s wasn’t around, Orchid does have the same playful attitude from the original arcade fighting title. Additionally, she’s gained a new special attack that briefly turns her into a large cat.
Also revealed during the livestream was various costumes and additional accessories that can be used to make your fighter unique.
Finally, the post-Xbox One logo end of the newly released Orchid gameplay trailer revealed the return of that bag of bones, Spinal. His new look is definitely much more fearsome than the original.
Killer Instinct will be released as a downloadable title for the Xbox One when it launches on Nov. 22. It will be available for free with Jago as the only playable character with the chance to purchase additional players. Spending $20 on the Combo Breaker Pack will grant access to all eight the initial characters while the $40 Ultra Edition will unlock all eight characters, the character accessory packs and costumes plus the original Killer Instinct arcade game.
