Max Payne 3′s Launch Trailer Is A Week Early

Maybe the launch trailer arrived before the game because Max Payne 3, like it’s titular bearded/cleanshaven renegade cop/angry vest, is currently diving toward its release date in slow motion. It really wants to be on your hard drive, honest it does, but it wants to arrive in style and preferably while shooting sixteen guns simultaneously into every other game you have installed in order to make room for itself. Whatever the case, the video should be filed under ‘portentous’ and ‘containing admirable discussions of the nature of healing and time’.

Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs is a open world crime drama video game, developed by United Front Games in conjunction with Square Enix London Studios and published by Square Enix, to be released on August 14, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.[5] Sleeping Dogs will take place in Hong Kong and focuses on an undercover operation to infiltrate the Triads.

Max Payne 3 is the third installment in Rockstar Games Max Payne series and is set eight years after the events of the last installment. No longer a cop, Max is close to washed-up, drunk and addicted to painkillers. Without a job on the force, Max has left the greater New York area, and finds himself in Sao Paulo, Brazil, working as private security.

Oh goodness. Chasing Aurora, the latest from And Yet It Moves developer Broken Rules, looks like it’s really shaping up to be something special. It’s being billed as an “explorative 2D aerial action game about the dream of flight” in the “hostile environment of the Alps.”

Wrack Doesn’t Ruin Doom (Hopefully)

Wrack is an indie, super-retro FPS very much in the high-speed vein of the original Doom, but pinning proper, and attractively cel-shaded, 3D graphics to those old bones. It even boasts the musical involvement of Bobby Prince, the composer of Doom, so it’s not exactly making any bones about its inspirations.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Screens

Intrusion 2 Trailer Fires Lighting Guns, Riding Wolves

Are games art? Can we authentically depict emotion in a virtual space? What is the meaning of Tetris? Can we read authenticity into the actions of Master Chief? If a tree falls in a forest and no one’s around to hear it, is it the Citizen Kane of games? Intrusion 2 attempts to answer precisely none of these important questions. Instead, it’s a Metal-Slug-esque sidescroller, but with gorgeous physics-based animations and an oddly understated love of over-the-top insanity.
