Veni Vidi Vendi: Vitrum Is Out
How many people reading this are waiting for Dishonored? How many for XCOM? Both? Maybe it’d be easier to ask how many people aren’t waiting for either. Let us not forget that other games have not ceased to exist and that one way to make the waiting period less agonising might well be to sample some of those games, especially if they can be sampled for free.
Sunder Lizards: Primal Carnage Beta Open
Dinosaurs versus heavily armed people. It’s a tale as old as time, with a clear artistic through line that begins in the cave paintings of Mann-Shüt, which depicted heroic cavefolk firing rocks at armies of marauding velociraptors, and ends with Primal Carnage.
Wow: MaK Is Minecraft Meets Mario Galaxy In Space
Goodness, this looks impressive. MaK (pronounced “make”) is a game about building. Yes, there are roughly seven trillion of those at this point, but it’s actually aiming to execute the concept in an impressively different fashion.
007 Legends – Cinematic Trailer

This new trailer ends on a note making it clear that you are not the only one occupied with this task.
People Vs Predators: Crysis 3 Hunter Mode
More footage from the weekend’s Eurogamer shindig. Crysis 3′s ‘infection type multiplayer mode, Hunter, is shown in a new video, demonstrating the Museum of Modern Art map. I’m not sure if everyone else already knew this but the Crash Site mode from Crysis 2 is back as well. That’s all about reaching and securing a location on the map and made for some interesting use of space in the previous game.
Fresh Meat: Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee New N’ Tasty
Abe’s Oddysee HD will now be known as Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee New N’ Tasty, because apparently the world isn’t a silly enough place. At the Eurogamer Expo, Oddworld founder Lorne Lanning and Stewart Gilray of Just Add Water, the company handling development, spoke about the remake reboot reimagining reoddering at length, also showing the game for the first time.
A Collage Of Dreams: Middens
Oh look, some brief descriptions of games. The Mass Effect trilogy is a space opera RPG about a crew of aliens attempting to stop a great evil and occasionally having sex. The Secret of Monkey Island is a comedic point and click adventure with insult swordfighting and a piratical theme. Ho hum.
The Contract Is On: Hitman – Absolution
My relationship with Hitman and his latest subtitle is one of love at fifth sight. It hasn’t been a whirlwind romance, instead starting with something more like a few gentle but malodorous gusts of disappointment, but now I think we’re just about ready to snuggle again.
