We know World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria has kung-fun pandas in it. I’ve seen it on adverts on the telly and everything. What else does it have in it? Guild Wars two has just won the award for the most retarded game advert ever. It’s a coveted prize and was given out by me in that last sentence. Congratulations guys. The game looks fun but the advert is pants-on-head retarded.
We’ve currently smuggled Adam out of the country to investigate all things new, French and Ubisoft, but to scoop him ourselves, they’ve just announced The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot. It is, and this is one to get your head around, a free-to-play asynchronous dungeon crawler/tower defence. And it has a brilliant name. There’s an announcement trailer below. It is very silly.

Here’s official news on the second Skyrim expansion, Hearthfire. The hook here is that you get to build yourself a home from the ground up, which involves finding yourself a patch of land then building and expanding a building appropriate to your tastes/budget upon it.
Really, if you think about it, the ocean is basically space, but more blue. I mean, both are sorely lacking in breathable air, give us the ability to defy basic physics while shouting “wheeeeee,” and are absolutely, positively, I-really-really-hope teeming with life. The continued support and updating for EverQuest II never fails to surprise me. The MMO is now eight years old, but still played and receiving regular updates and content, and now some tech that I’ve not seen used elsewhere. They’re awkwardly calling it SOEmote, a thing where a webcam pointed at your face will translate your expressions onto your in-game character. You can see it in action below.
