Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the next chapter in the best-selling Call of Duty First-Person Shooter action series.
Modern Warfare 3 is a direct sequel to the previous game in the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game will continue the campaign storyline in which the U.S. forces struggle against an invasion by the Russian Federation following the framing of an undercover U.S. agent in a terrorist attack on Moscow.
The game will not only contain classic Call of Duty multi-character control, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 contains deep multiplayer support, including two-player Co-op Survival mode. The game will also contain all-new Kill Streak categories and customizable strike packages that offer you more options to find the style that fits you best.
X-Men: Destiny has you playing a new recruit amongst comic’s motley mutant band and promises a branching storyline that features a deep element of choice.
The first thing you’ll need to keep in mind about X-Men Destiny is that you won’t be playing as the most famous of mutants. Nope, you’re not going to be tearing people apart with Wolverine, nor will you be taking down enemies using Beast’s overwhelming powers of science and math. In this game, you start as a green recruit and use a little help from friends to get your journey rolling.
Destiny plays like an accessible beat-’em-up with some overarching role-playing elements to add extra substance to the action. We managed to tear our way through the demolished streets of San Francisco with ease, thanks to the game’s fairly simple control scheme, which used two face buttons to mix up Aimi’s light and heavy electrical attacks.
It’s a very easy game to pick up and play, but there are a number of flourishes that add some flair to the action. Our favorites were the times when a text prompt on the screen told us there was one enemy left to take down; we then shattered the text prompt with a ground pound, along with the enemy. Yes, you can destroy both enemies and interface text with the same attack. Pretty cool.
After the success of Jordan Moments last year, 2K Sports brings 15 of the NBA’s greatest players to this year’s game.
Two weeks ago when 2K Sports revealed that three of the greatest NBA players to ever take to the court would be gracing the cover of NBA 2K12, we should have figured there was more to it. Today, 2K Sports revealed a new mode coming to this year’s game titled NBA’s Greatest.
Similar to Jordan Moments from last year, NBA’s Greatest lets you play as 15 of the greatest NBA teams in history and re-create some of the best matches ever seen.
In the case of Pixel Blocked, it plays like a cross between Nintendo’s Picross series and any of the many Sokoban clones out there.
You’re given a grid of blocks you can rotate at a 90° angle and a gun thingy that shoots more blocks.
The object is to fill in the missing blocks on the grid with nothing out-of-place. The puzzles feature three different block types already in place in which to construct around.
Steel blocks are the easy ones to work with. Magnet blocks grab any blocks that pass directly by them. And finally crumble blocks break as soon as a block lands on them.
The Kinect-based Black Eyed Peas Experience had us toe-to-toe on the dance floor with the Peas, just as we’ve always dreamed.
Like the radio-safe version of the song says, let’s get it started in here: The Black Eyed Peas Experience is a Black Eyed Peas dance game, bumped up to “experience” status with the addition of original music videos and other fan-pleasing extras. In it, you play as a customised avatar in a dance-off against the Peas themselves in a pumping, all-Black Eyed Peas discotheque.
Having (presumably) evaded the Black Eyed Peas’ bodyguards, your avatar gets all up in the group’s grill and challenges them to a face-to-face dance contest, in which you mirror the moves of whichever group member takes centre stage. With your avatar onscreen, his or her back to the player, and the four group members jigging beyond that, it’s a busy picture–more so, even, with the simultaneous two-player, and with bright highlights pinging off your avatar’s limbs when you pull off a successful dance move.
Need for Speed The Run gives you a chance to partake in the underground world of illicit, high-stakes racing. This trailer for Need for Speed: The Run showcases the dangers you’ll face when you hit Chicago in the coast-to-coast race.
There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming Saints Row sequel but up until now there have been no actual gameplay videos.
Well, that’s all changed now as this developer commentary blows the lid on all the ridiculous stuff you can get upto in this over-the-top sandbox shooter.
