Activision has announced another licensed NASCAR game due out this fall, titled (appropriately enough) NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. It’s being developed by Eutechnyx, the studio behind the last game, and is due out this fall for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii.

Uncivil War: Assassin’s Creed III Gets An In-Game Trailer
Want to see the new Assassin’s Creed III trailer, eh? Well, you’d better be 18. If I find that someone under the age of 18 watches the ungated YouTube video below I will march straight to your house and tell your parents.
Hitman: Sniper Challenge Aiming For August Launch
Hm, I’m not sure how to feel about this. I mean, I’m not usually a fan of pre-order bonuses – especially given how inconsequential they ultimately turn out to be relative to how frequently they’re paraded in front of us, bells jingling and doves emerging from places where doves shouldn’t be (sleeves, obviously). Also, there was a time when this would’ve been a free demo or teaser available to all. But, nowadays, those take extra time and money a lot of developers don’t have, so I suppose Hitman‘s upcoming Sniper Challenge is – at least, speculatively – justifiable.
Max Payne 3′s Launch Trailer Is A Week Early
Maybe the launch trailer arrived before the game because Max Payne 3, like it’s titular bearded/cleanshaven renegade cop/angry vest, is currently diving toward its release date in slow motion. It really wants to be on your hard drive, honest it does, but it wants to arrive in style and preferably while shooting sixteen guns simultaneously into every other game you have installed in order to make room for itself. Whatever the case, the video should be filed under ‘portentous’ and ‘containing admirable discussions of the nature of healing and time’.
Carmageddon’s Crowdsourced ReReincarnation
Hmm. I was under the impression that Stainless’ forthcoming Carmageddon reboot was in a safe place already in terms of funding, but nonetheless they’ve added their game of pedestrian slaughter and hyper-aggressive future-racing to the infinite ranks of Kickstarted development. The internet’s been enormously happy about the news today, which puzzles me slightly as it’s not like the game wasn’t going to happen without crowdsourcing.
OK, The Asura’s Wrath-Meets-Street Fighter DLC Looks Well Worth $2
Here’s a clip of today’s newly-released Asura vs. Ryu, Asura’s Wrath-meets-Street Fighter downloadable content for Asura’s Wrath.
It might even be the hold thing… we’re not sure. But, hey, it looks really fun. I might pony up for this.
The DLC is called “Lost Episode 1.” It costs $2 to download on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Carrot In Hell: Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit
What’s the best game with an exclamation mark in its title? Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit has one but I’m going to stop using it now because it’s awkward and silly, which could well be an accurate description of the game itself.
We Gotta Loose Fukkin’ Nook: Ghost Recon Alpha
I think releasing a short film to accompany your forthcoming game is a great way to promote it. It doesn’t matter if the film is terrible or great, it’ll get talked about, and who doesn’t like half an hour of dumb action? Wrong people, that’s who. Small suggestion though: if you’re going to go to all that effort to make such an elaborate advert for your game, don’t release it exclusively to one site legendary for its crappy efforts with streaming films, in terrible low res. It’s, well, the dumbest idea available. Ghost Recon Alpha is on the receiving end of that.
Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse
Activision bringing Griffin family to Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year in new title inspired by universe-hopping “Road to the Multiverse” episode from show’s eighth season. Gamers yearning to take part in the wacky hijinks of the Family Guy series will have a new console title to play this fall.
And Yet It Flies: Chasing Aurora Looks Gorgeous
Oh goodness. Chasing Aurora, the latest from And Yet It Moves developer Broken Rules, looks like it’s really shaping up to be something special. It’s being billed as an “explorative 2D aerial action game about the dream of flight” in the “hostile environment of the Alps.”
