Insurgency began life as a popular mod for Half-Life 2 called Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat but last year New World Interactive launched the full game on Steam Early Access. After nine months of further tweaking and testing, the shooter has now been given a release date of 22 January.

Hospitals are scary places. I say this fully aware that, generally speaking, they’re full of people who dedicated to keeping me alive. Even so, there’s just something about them that freaks me out. A new trailer for the Lego Marvel Super Heroes ‘Asgard Pack’ DLC shows off some of the extra characters included with the Thor-themed add-on. The Asgard Pack offers eight additional playable heroes and villains: Malekith, Kurse, Sif, Volstagg, Odin, Hogun, Fandral, and Jane Foster. The pack doesn’t include Thor himself because he already features as one of the game’s many characters anyway.

Like many space games before it, X Rebirth depicts an unrealistically vibrant universe bursting with color and texture, and that’s as it should be.
