The Call of Duty franchise has covered almost every corner of the globe, from snow-capped mountains to the streets of suburban America. But it’s never strayed too far outside of its military roots. What if there were a Call of Duty game that put you into the shoes of a different type of enforcer—namely, a law enforcer?
The video above proports to be “leaked internal footage” of an upcoming downloadable game called Call of Duty: Police Warfare. It’s a fake. But it’s a very convincing one, convincing enough that you wouldn’t be a foolish fool if you were fooled by it.
As a follow up to their 2009 XBLIG racing game, Little Racers, Milkstone Studios have just released Little Racers: Street.
Unsurprisingly, this one takes place on streets, and it looks like it’s quite fun.
The camera viewpoint is vaguely reminiscent of the Micro Machines games. The cars actually look like they are normal sized to me, just with the camera zoomed out really far. Perhaps it’s taking place in a model city…It’s available now for 80 MS points, with a free demo.
The career mode provides hours of fun, challenging races. You need to tune your car and earn money to get the most wanted cars. Pursuit the top ranked drivers and become the best in the world! Underground urban racing has never been so much fun!
I know we’ve told you about this beautiful GTAIV mod before, but frankly I can’t get enough of it. It’s more beautiful than a naked Emma stone riding a unicorn made entirely of bacon.
Anyway, the newest iteration of this computerised eyecandy is available now and waiting to be downloaded. A word of warning though, unless your rig is a total MONSTER you will probably need an upgrade to get the most out of this…
This launch trailer for Shank 2 is a spectacle of gore and cartoony style. One of the sequel’s additions to the original downloadable game is Survival Mode, which you can get your bloodthirsty eyeballs on right here. Both there and in the game’s single-player, rest assured that yes, you will feel like Rambo (and that’s not new to the sequel).
Shank 2 is available now on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Battleship follows elite demolitions specialist Cole Mathis as he clashes against an aquatic-based extraterrestrial peril in the sand and sea of the beautiful Hawaiian archipelago.
Shoot Many Robots has a directness I can appreciate. When I eventually make a game, I’ll call it “Craig Make Gun Bangs”: it will have no story apart from a bit that says “he puts a bullet in his gun” in Comic Sans, and then a few seconds later “bang” spelled out in bullet holes. I reckon Ubisoft will pick it up like they have this four-player Borderlands-esque platform game. Sure, mine won’t have pretty graphics, charm, wit, or be anything more than an idea scribbled in crayon on a cereal packet, but then they already have that in Demiurge’s game.
The cartoony co-op wild west steampunk… thing is coming out this year, digitally getting all up in your grill. In it, you and friends will dispatch numerous androids. I feel I’ve put my scribbles up for an unfair comparison: the video shows off a small fraction of KMR’s enemy contingent, personality driven robotic death machines. My stick figure with a bear’s head stuck on and the word “Bobot” (TM) written in black underneath it clearly needs a bit more work.
Xbox 360 Call of Duty Elite paid subscribers to get access to Overwatch New York City skyscraper level later this month.
The next content drop for Call of Duty Elite subscribers is just two weeks away. Activision today announced that the Overwatch map will launch February 21 for paid Elite members on the Xbox 360. The map’s PlayStation 3 and PC debuts have not yet been revealed (although if January’s Elite downloadable content is any indication, PS3 owners will have to wait at least a month to get their hands on it).
The sole piece of new content for Modern Warfare 3 this month, Overwatch is a nearly symmetrical map set on top of a New York City skyscraper in the midst of construction. Gamers will need to watch their steps, as construction crews apparently haven’t gotten around to installing safety measures like guardrails just yet.
